Anti nuclear activists protest while a sylvester party (2009-2010) against the future governmental plans to implement a final dump of nuclear waste in Gorleben. The protesters welcomed the new year by firing fireworks towards the sites tower. Police just observed the scenery.
The new elected german Government plan to cancle the moratorium of implementation a final dump of nuclear waste in Gorleben. Now, after 30 years of proetst in the region the non-violent resistance wants to restart a strong movement to prevent this. In fact, the proposed end of the moratorium could mean to dig high radioactive waste in the soils salt chambers.
