In Germany 120 000 protesters have been joining hands to form a human. It stretched 120 kilometers connecting three nuclear power plants. The focus of the demonstration is the government’s pro-nuclear policy. Additional tens of thousands protesters were involved here while a further demonstration ware staged at the Biblis plant and at the nuclear waste storage in Ahaus.
The protest stretched from the Krümmel nuclear plant near Hamburg (pictures) to the Brunsbuettel at the mouth of the river Elbe.
This protest came just two days before the 24th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in Ukraine.
